Some recent photos have come in and the building is finally taking some shape after so many years. With holdups from the Covid-19 lockdowns, and the very protracted and heavy wet season experienced over the last
eight months, the local labour of 45 workers from the village is in full swing and doing a fine job of the building. The building of the mission house has provided other unexpected benefits to the local people of the village. A whole rock breaking industry has evolved out of the building of the mission house, with the locals supplying tonnes of stone for the foundations of the building.
In this post, we will show you some of the locals supplying the stone and an update on the walls of the building being built. They are all working towards the roof being placed prior to the wet season commencing in October. It is good to see so many locals gaining employment through the building of this long awaited mission house.
Blessings to all
See you next post
