The much awaited Divine Mercy Monastery was officially opened and inaugurated on Monday 28 April 2025.

The event was a great celebration as it has now been 10 years since the first MOP brothers came to Timor Leste under the guidance of the pioneer, Br Emmanuel Kagaba. Br Emmanuel was later to become Fr Emmanuel and was at the inauguration direct from his new posting at Rome. Other guests included the local Diocesan Bishop and several brothers from the Labuan Bajo mission. Special guests came from Australia, Leo and Carol Kuetman from Toowoomba, and Tony and Deb Harris from Brisbane.

After 10 long years, the mission is now very active in their support of the many poor and disadvantaged in the area of Saburai.
