We recently returned from visiting the mission at Labuan Bajo, Flores.

As usual, this visit was to provide the funding for the Christmas celebration that the mission provides for 500 of the local poor children. This celebration is held several days after Christmas on the feast of the Holy Innocents on 28 December. While at the mission, we purchased the food for the occasion and 500 school backpacks which will be the children’s Christmas gift. In this first post we will take a look around the monastery and take a trip to the special school where some of the boys at the apostolate attend.

We also found in our archives a video of one of the boys, who is blind, who also attends the special school playing the key board and singing. His name is Aldi. Thought you may enjoy listening to him.

Have a blessed Christmas and we will check in later
