The leper community and the elderly at Saburai were treated to a prayer afternoon saying the rosary.
This was followed by a feeding program and the distribution of clothing. It is basically the work of the mission that gives the poor at Saburai special treats such as food parcels, clothing, rosaries, feeding programs, prayer services to name a few. These treats we consider in our world to be nothing special, but when you have nothing, and this truly means nothing, these small gifts that are given to these people can mean the world.
Pope Francis quoted that ”the divine mission is a tireless going out to all men and women in order to invite them to encounter God and enter into communion with him.”
Next post, we will check out the children’s feeding program held around the same time.
Blessings to all
Trevor and Tina
