The official opening and blessing for the completion of the first wing of the monastery was held on the 17 July 2013. The first wing of the monastery was completed in May this year. This initial stage is double story; the ground floor comprises of an entry, interim chapel, office, dining room, and outdoor and indoor kitchens. After completion of the fence in April 2012, the footings for the monastery were laid in the following month. Because of the monsoonal climate it was aimed to complete the roof prior to the start of the 2012/13 wet season which can commence anytime between November and January.
