In November 2011 we made a visit to the mission, again to take up supplies but this time we also delivered a new key board. In addition, Missionaries of the Poor purchased the land for the monastery at Matahari Street (Gg. Matahari) which is uptown not far from the public school, and thus we made a start at clearing the land just before the wet season. During this visit we helped organise the children’s feeding program and were privileged to see several candidates move up to be aspirants. Finally, we travelled to Ruteng (about a 3 hour drive) up in the mountains and visited the Franciscan sisters. All Souls Day was celebrated during our visit with over 1000 people at the parish mass. We made the right decision by attending the much smaller vigil service at the Fatima grotto on a small hill near the house.
