Running a monastery, an apostolate and preparing aspirants for the novitiate is a big job for the brothers at the mission. Each morning they attend Mass at the local parish church, followed by prayer time and then breakfast. Rostered jobs are then given to each brother for them to complete during the course of the morning.
In addition to this, an important task for the professed brothers is to teach the aspirants, and for most of the brothers to provide ongoing care to the disabled residents in their apostolate (we will visit the residents in a future post).
But for now, check out the brothers keeping busy and for the next post we will take a look at the brothers during their afternoon program, which also includes outreaching to poor families and their children. In yet another post we will take a closer look at the farm animals at the monastery and see how the brothers tend them.
See you next time for an afternoon with the brothers!
