Welcome back to the Labuan Bajo mission. We were to provide you the next post on an overview of how you prepare and undertake a mission trip, but we have just received some clips of the postulancy ceremony at the monastery so we are giving you an update on this instead.
Ten young men who commenced as candidates in 2015, and are subsequently becoming aspirants have now recited the formula of postulancy and have become postulants. These men now wear white cassocks with white belts and of course habit rosaries (rosaries are kindly supplied by Eileen O’Reilly from Boonah, and Tina and Trevor from Brisbane). These young men will soon travel to the Philippines to continue their religious studies as novices. May God bless them and protect them on their religious journey of serving the poor.
Finally, some news on the professed brothers (blue belts) now at the Labuan Bajo mission: the new Superior is Br Nerlito (as Br Emmanuel has been transferred from Labuan Bajo mission); together with Brothers Marc, Geoffrey and Simon, and new to the mission is Br Prisca.
We will check in again soon with our next mission story from Labuan Bajo.
Till then blessings to all
Trevor and Tina
