In 1998, MOP Founder and Superior General, the Very Rev Fr Richard Ho Lung, MOP, was invited to the Archdiocese of Ende, Flores, Indonesia, by the now late Archbishop Longinus Da Cunha. Fr. Ho Lung visited Indonesia that same year however circumstances did not allow further progress. It was not until 2008 when Fr. Charles Maria Susai, MOP and Bro. Augusto, MOP visited the Diocese of Ruteng at the invitation of the also now late Bishop Eduardus Sangsun, SVD who saw the increasing demands of the many poor and suffering people in Ende Flores. Two years after this, Fr. Brian Kerr and Bro. Roshan Beck visited and identified Labuan Bajo, Flores as a location for the MOP monastery and apostolic work.
On June 3, 2010, the MOP pioneer team of Bro. Emmanuel Kagaba, MOP, Bro. Nerlito Dioneda Jr, MOP and Bro. Ronel Babida, MOP set out to establish the mission. They arrived at Labuan Bajo on the Feast of Corpus Christi, June 6, 2010. On January 29, 2011, the founding members were joined by Bro. Joey De la Cruz, MOP and in April 2012 by Bro. Simon Soreng.
The MOP brothers in Labuan Bajo have been living in a rented house since their arrival in 2010. In January 2013 they moved into their much awaited first wing of their monastery. Follow the building of the monastery on recent postings.

Wah… saya tertarik dengan karya Misionaries of the poor, teman saya malah lebih tertarik lagi.
Brother Imanuel, joy, nerlito, simon, mark. and all of btrother who stay in MOP.
