A Christmas event is important for children that have very little. In fact, Christmas is even more special when you receive a simple gift and some food. For the children of the Saburai community in Timor Leste, the simple gift constitutes a rosary and two pieces of underwear and some food entails receiving some chicken and rice. Yes, what we consider is part of our ordinary day to day consumption, these poor children treasure as something very special.

So, this advent while we await the birth of the Christ child, let us all try to remember and give to those that are less fortunate than us, wherever they may be.

The next post we will look at Trevor’s recent trip to Saburai where he spent a week assisting the MOP brothers in their serving of the needs of the poor.

See you next time…!!!!

With every blessing
