It has been a while since we had a look around town and visited some of the more obscure shops that make up Labuan Bajo. In this post, we look at some streetscapes, inside a range of stores, such as hardware stores, auto supply shops, supermarkets, road side markets, restaurants, plus more. In addition, we have included some vivid scenery shots of the bay that are the hallmark of Labuan Bajo, and finally we even purchase some gold fish from a roadside stall.
We hope that these photos capture the unique essence of Labuan Bajo, where poverty meets tourism, through a constant influx of hotel owners and Komodo seeking tourists.
For the next post we will get back to the monastery in Labuan Bajo and look at some work just completed there.
Until then, blessings to all….
