After much delay, the last Rotary container for 2022 left Brisbane in November bound for Dili, Timor Leste.
In the container we were blessed to have 36 boxes of valuable supplies for the mission to support those in Timor Leste that live in extreme poverty. We were blessed to have our parish priest, Fr Michael Grace, assisting us in transferring the boxes from our storeroom at the Indooroopilly Parish to the Rotary depot at Kingston. The container arrived just before Christmas and was cleared through customs on the 20 January 2023.
In the boxes were many first aid supplies and provisions for the Christmas event that the brothers of the mission were holding for the children of Saburai village. The brothers were waiting on the arrival of the container for this event. So, in this post we are presenting the passage of the boxes from Kingston, Brisbane to Maliana, Timor Leste. Next post we will catch up with the belated Christmas event in Saburai.
Till then
Blessings to all
Trevor and Tina
