One of the outreaches that the brothers of MOP Maliana do regularly is delivering of food parcels for the
elderly of Saburai. Basic food items and toiletries are delivered to around 200 elderly, most of the people being either very poor, handicapped or malnourished. The parcels consist of rice, cooking oil, coffee, sugar, canned fish, soap, tooth brushes and toothpaste. In addition to food parcels, on the day, the elderly come for a feeding program. Again, support for this outreach comes in part from generous donors here in Australia.
Interestingly, Br David and Br Elmer, both original pioneer brothers in Timor Leste have served their time and have been transferred to other missions. At the time of this post, they have gone and their replacements have arrived.
We thank all the generous supporters of MOP around the world. Without their assistance, the missions could not function and God’s work would not continue.
Blessings to all
Trevor and Tina
