Late in the day we travelled down to Maliana to purchase grocery items to use in making food parcels
for the leper community which is at the far end of Saburai Village. We purchased the groceries at Seara Market supermarket which is a relatively new supermarket in Maliana. By the way, since our last visit to Maliana the roads around the town have greatly improved but the very old market is still the same. The local council has built a new market outside the town but it is not being used as it is considered too far out of town and many of the market people do not have transport.
After leaving Seara we did go down to the old market to purchase plastic bags for the food parcels and a few other essential items. The following day, the brothers made up the food parcels and packed them in the twin cab ready to distribute to the community, which we will show you in the next post.
Till then
God’s blessings
